As long as you have access to shore power, and can deep recharge overnight your food truck can be completely independent of generator power, and the associated noise and exhaust. NMK was an early adopter of installing battery power systems in our vehicle projects. We have gained extensive experience in designing and building these quiet, clean power systems.
As well as the obvious elimination of generator noise and exhaust smell, installing a lithium battery bank and inverter insures that (in the case of a mobile kitchen) you will always have power for refrigeration in transit to keep the proper temperatures and the health department happy.
While Battery/Solar can be 20-30% more expensive initially, if you do the math, you can see that you will save thousands in fuel and maintenance costs over the life of your mobile operation.
